At Rødovre’s new light rail station, Rødovre Nord, biodiversity takes center stage. We have created space for a rich plant life with flowers, perennials, shrubs, and trees, which together form a green and vibrant urban space. Rainwater is primarily managed on the surface and directed to a rainwater ditch on the north side of the square. From there, it continues onward – benefiting both the climate and nature.

The square’s paving consists of the characteristic Rødovre tiles on the paths and black tiles in the seating areas. The square has space for four buses and 24 parking spaces, while cyclists and pedestrians can move safely, separated from car traffic. There is both bicycle parking and green resting spots where you can wait—whether for the bus, the light rail, or simply to enjoy a break in the greenery. The station square is designed as a natural extension of the ID line that runs from Tårnvej. It creates cohesion in the urban landscape and contributes to the beautification of the area.
Maintenance works may require partial or full closure of the Light Rail for a period to ensure works can be carried out safely. When possible, works are scheduled during the evening and night to minimise disruption to passengers.
There may also be more significant or longer-lasting service changes due to unexpected operational incidents, obstructing the Light Rail services on part or all of the route for a period of time.
In such cases, replacement bus services will be provided. However, passengers should expect longer journey times when using replacement buses compared with the Light Rail.
On the map, you can see where to find the replacement bus stop at your station.
