Lyngby Station is a major public transport hub, providing change between Light Rail, S-trains and a wide range of bus services. The Light Rail station has direct access to the S-train platforms via a pedestrian underpass, with connections to Hillerød and Copenhagen, as well as onward connections across the Greater Copenhagen area. The many bus stops at Jernbanepladsen also provide interchange between the Light Rail and bus services. There are approximately 200 cycle parking spaces in the cycle parking facility beneath Lyngby S-train Station.

Just a few meters from Lyngby Station, you’ll find specialty shops, supermarkets, and restaurants in the station square’s shopping arcade. Lyngby Town Hall is located close to Lyngby Station, while Lyngby District Court is approximately 700 meters away. Finally, the nearest Baadfarten (boat tour) stop on Lyngby Lake, as well as Lyngby Public Library, are both approximately a 600-meter walk from Lyngby Station.
Maintenance works may require partial or full closure of the Light Rail for a period to ensure works can be carried out safely. When possible, works are scheduled during the evening and night to minimise disruption to passengers.
There may also be more significant or longer-lasting service changes due to unexpected operational incidents, obstructing the Light Rail services on part or all of the route for a period of time.
In such cases, replacement bus services will be provided. However, passengers should expect longer journey times when using replacement buses compared with the Light Rail.
On the map, you can see where to find the replacement bus stop at your station.
