Glostrup Hospital – Rigshospitalet was built between 1953 and 1958 as Denmark’s first newly constructed hospital after World War II and is considered a masterpiece of Danish hospital architecture. Today, it is part of Rigshospitalet and has nationwide functions in several medical specialties.

From the light rail station, there is direct access to the site. With over 4,000 employees, it is a large workplace and an important hub for patients and relatives. The hospital houses, among other things, Northern Europe’s largest eye department, a specialized spine and rheumatology department, neurorehabilitation services, as well as adult and child psychiatry.
