Maintenance works may require partial or full closure of the Light Rail for a period to ensure works can be carried out safely. When possible, works are scheduled during the evening and night to minimise disruption to passengers.
There may also be more significant or longer-lasting service changes due to unexpected operational incidents, obstructing the Light Rail services on part or all of the route for a period of time.
During these temporary closures, passengers are advised to use alternative modes of transport such as cycling, railway and bus services. In such cases, replacement bus services will be provided. However, passengers should expect longer journey times when using replacement buses compared with the Light Rail.
On the map, you can see where to find the replacement bus stop at your station.
Do replacement buses serve all stops?
When replacement buses are in operation, they will run along the section of the route where the Light Rail is unable to operate – or the entire route if the whole line is affected. Replacement buses will call at all stops not served by the Light Rail. However, until the northern section of the line opens, this will apply only to the southern section.
The northern section will continue to be served by the existing 300S bus service (run by Movia) until the Light Rail is fully operational. Route 300S is a high-frequency service, operating every 7–8 minutes during peak periods. The Light Rail operator is working closely with Movia to ensure that the temporary change between Light Rail and bus at Rødovre Nord station is as smooth as possible for passengers.
